Governance
Our Core Principles
At the Christine Buckley Centre, we are committed to honouring the pain and trauma experienced by Survivors. We prioritize creating a supportive environment where their voices are heard and valued.
We actively support Survivors in their journeys toward healing, encouraging the development of new skills, lifestyle changes, and family connections while addressing legacy issues such as addiction. Our Centre serves as a haven where individuals can share experiences and find solace among others who have faced similar challenges.
Learning is a transformative experience, especially for those who missed educational opportunities due to childhood abuse, labour, or trauma. Our tailored classes cater to the unique needs of our participants, fostering hope and building self-worth and confidence to tackle life’s challenges. Over time, Survivors cultivate trust in their relationships with peers, family, and staff.
Our Vision
To be a centre of warmth, dignity, respect, and safety for Survivors and their families, providing unwavering support and learning opportunities while ensuring that Ireland never forgets the experiences of those affected.
Our Mission
To empower the individuals, we serve to speak up, face the future, and create the lives they choose.
